Nurses Message
If your child is going to be absent from school please call 201-807-2280. This phone has an answering machine so you may call at any time.
The nurse's office has been busy since day one, checking records of our new students and, of course administering first aid to all children in need. During the school year, we do health, vision, hearing, dental, and scoliosis screenings.
As a reminder, all students who enter 6th grade are required to have a meningococcal vaccine and a TDAP Booster. This is now a law in New Jersey.
If your child vomits at school, he/she must be picked up as soon as possible and remain out of school for at least the balance of the day.
Children must be "fever-free" for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
REMINDER:
All 3rd & 6th-grade students are required to have physicals. These are due October 1st.
All new students are required to have physicals within 10 days of entrance.
Also, all children born after Jan 1, 1998, will be required to have one dose of the Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine. Please check with me to see if your child has had this immunization.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at (201) 807-2280 or by email at [email protected]. I am looking forward to your children having a safe and healthy school year!
